(More customer reviews)As it turns out, parents of a 5 year old boy just aren't going to find any shoes out there for less than $45. That part sucks. But if you're going to pay this much for shoes, in my opinion they had better be tough enough to last until the kid out-grows them. There's nothing worse than paying big bucks for a pair of shoes that have holes in them before the kid out-grows them (which seems to be every 6 months...argh!). Anyway, for all you other parents out there: these will last. They have the reinforced rubber toes so if your kid is riding his bike all the time and using the toes of his shoes as a pair of brakes, these won't wear through. Easy on, easy off so you don't spend your time double-tying knots in laces.
I'll buy these again in the next bigger size when my kidlet outgrows these.

Your kid will love this sneaker and really, why wouldn't he? The lightweight upper has it going ON: it features stripes, trim, the Skechers logo on the side, and straps that zig-zag over the foot and end with a Velcro closure. Meanwhile, the thick treaded rubber sole provides traction and cushioning as he walks, runs, and scampers. What's not to love?
