(More customer reviews)I received my Fanfare a few weeks ago and "test drove" it on an international trip last week. They are EXTREMELY lightweight, did not require any break-in (we were visiting my parents overseas, where we walk practically everywhere ALL the time - not one blister!), fantastically cool/breezy on a hot day, cushiony enough to handle even long walks on cobble stone and easy on/off (it was a breeze to take them off and put them back on without even undoing the Velcro while going through security lines). I am a die-hard Skechers girls, but my previous pair of similar (but leather) Mary Janes needed breaking in and wasn't as light and breezy. This one is amazing and is comfortable without the bulk of traditional sneaker, stylish enough and is absolutely airy. My mum loved them so much I bought a pair for her as well (and she MUST have comfortable shoes)
I chose Natural colour to avoid "dingy" look after long walks (white would just get dusty too quickly). Natural still goes with the preppy colours and worked well with almost all outfits. I have washed them in basic Persil detergent (for white clothes), gently rubbing the netted part with small brush and they faired very well!
