(More customer reviews)I tried the Sorel in this style, but they were way too small across the width of the TOP part of the boot going across the widest part of the foot. So, I went and bought these instead. These do not keep feet warm in really cold winter weather, but they are great if you want a boot that doesn't overheat your foot so you can wear them shopping and not be terribly hot. However, I do live in Canada, and the temperature has been minus 12 degrees celsius here so, many of you may find this to be a warm boot after all? However, because of my bad experience with the Sorel's of this similar style, I ordered these a half size larger, but it wasn't necessary. They fit true to size. My feet are short and stubby, meaning kind of wide, and these are comfortable -- like a pair of sneakers, but with more winter protection. I recommend these boots just for wearing around the city, not winter sports or anything because they are not warm enough for really subzero temperatures. My feet overheat in winter boots, so this is a great compromise between a runner and a winter boot. They also claim to be waterproof, and so far, I have had no problems with water seeping in but I haven't really worn them in water, only snow. My one complaint is this: they are made in CHINA!! BOO! (And now so are Sorel's which used to be made in Canada, and are now a terrible quality boot and undependable). Pity. So, go with the Skechers: and order your normal size or, if you want to order a half size larger as I did, there are still no problems with fit other than the extra length, which just seems to trap cold air. Anyway, the half size larger does not slide up and down so you won't get blisters or anything. I really have to say they are true to size all the way around. I am happy with this purchase.

This Highlanders boot from Skechers looks good and performs even better in inclement weather. The waterproof textured fabric and rubber upper tops a cozy fleecy faux fur lining for warmth. A wrap-around seam sealed rubber mudguard trim and gusseted tongue also ward off the weather.
