(More customer reviews)I strongly recommend these shoes to any woman. I wear these in the desert color in a women's 10. They fit true to size. They also make my large feet look smaller and narrower, without being too small or too narrow. I don't have wide feet, just long toes that need a little room in the front and a long foot. They fit correctly. The sole joins to the shoe itself very well, and it does not look like a shoe where it would come apart at that join at all. The sole is very comfortable and looks sturdy, with good tread, though not tread that is too thick. There is a cute swirly design on the lighter tan parts of the shoe, which is subtle and looks kind of like a flower and the stems. It does not look to be "too much," and is subtle. These could be worn with or without socks comfortably and look nice either way.
For a truly wide foot, you would want to make sure to get one designed for wide feet, if they make them that way. These fit true to size, as I said, and one for regular feet would not fit one for wider feet. I'm sure they do make them in wide sizes.
The inside fits comfortably, and there is good arch support for a person with high arches. If you have low arches, I don't know how these would do, as this seems to fit my high arch shape perfectly. I don't know if they might rub blisters on someone with a very low arch or flat foot. I think most feet would be comfortable in them, though. The color is slightly different than online, but it is very close in color. It is a light tan with darker tan (or light brown) color. The black pair and white pair also looked nice when I saw them in the store, but I thought the tan one was the most attractive and neutral to be worn with more of the things I own. The price on amazon is similar to the store price, but the store price in the store I was in was marked from $54 originally down to $34, then my husband and I were shoe shopping for him also and the sale going on was buy one pair of any shoes get one pair half off. These were the cheaper of the two sets of shoes we bought, so I got them for $17. I was very happy about that. It's possible a shoestore could be selling these for a cheaper price if you get these in a hurry than what amazon is offering for them, so if I were you, I would check both places if they sell Skechers brands. I got the last one in my size out of three shoes in this particular color, so I was lucky. I only saw them in one store, but if you check out your local mall, you might get lucky, too. I hope so! :) (Today is May 23)
These are not shoes for running or hiking mountains or exercise, at least I don't think I would exercise in them. They are casual shoes for walking, running errands, perhaps working if you have a casual dress code at work, weekend shoes.... You could wear these nicely with or without socks. I wore them without socks in a mall and felt cozy in them for hours. The first time I wore them, no blisters came up and they were immediately comfortable. Another pair of Skechers shoes are a pair of chunky black sandals with deep tread at the bottom that I bought when I was a freshman in college..... this was TEN years ago nearly, and they still not only look great, they still feel very comfortable and even the Skechers logo on the inside top is not worn away (only slightly smudged off over the years). They have not shown any sign of wear and tear, and if you saw them you would never think I bought them ten years ago, but as far as I can remember, I did. I still wear them, and as long as they continue holding up great and look as good as they do now, I'll wear them ten more years. I've had Skechers sneakers in the past that have been great shoes, too and retired them after four or five years (sneakers I wore more often than my chunky sandals, but still, four or five years is very good for shoes). They don't smell bad, either, which is nice. It seems like they "breathe" well. I don't have the stinkiest feet, but these shoes don't stink even if you wear them a lot. I don't think thick socks would work with them well unless you go up a half size maybe, but thinner, normal socks would do great with them. I think they look good sockless, though, too. Another thing I like is that although they do advertise to the teenage demographic, I am almost 28 and feel adult looking in them, just as I do my sandals. They would even be the kind of shoes I think my mom would want for wearing, as this specific pair doesn't look too "trendy." They do sell trendy pairs that are cute if that is what you are looking for, but I didn't want a shoe that reflected that.
These shoes are highly comfortable with no "breaking in" needed to fit and feel comfortable if you buy the right size for you, and you definitely don't feel like you're walking on cardboard either. The sole is so supportive feeling and comfortable, and with good arch support, these shoes stand out to me as an excellent pair I'll wear often, hopefully for years.
