(More customer reviews)As I write this I've had these shoes for exactly one week. First off, I'll start with the good. Love, love, LOVE the look of these things. I bought the grey pair with the purple stripe and couldn't be happier from a purely aesthetic standpoint. Also, these things are very comfortable. They're lightweight and breathable. And last but not least, the price is excellent. $35 for a new pair of brand name sneakers is tough to beat.
Now, on to the bad. As I mentioned I've had these for only seven days, and already the Zoo York logo on the back of the heel is peeling off of one of the shoes. Also, I'm beginning to feel an ominous "crunch", for lack of a better word, in the soles when I walk. And I haven't even been doing any running or anything like that. Just casual, every day walking around. Hopefully these things don't completely fall apart by week three.
So for now I'm giving them a 3 star rating. If these issues turn out to be a fluke and there are no further problems I'll gladly revise the rating to 4 stars. If, however, they turn out to just be the tip of the iceberg then I'll be changing it to 2 stars (or worse). I hope it's the former rather than the latter as I really, really wanted to love these shoes. Unfortunately, I'm starting to regret not opting for the Van's I was also considering that were only 15 bucks more.
