I ordered a half size larger so she has room to grow, which is fine, there is about a 1/4 inch of room after her big toe. The problem is the width and height of "body" of the shoe. Because they are so big she has absolutely no arch support with these. We had to add an insole to take up some room in the height(this helped alot, though we could easily add another), and we lace them tightly, but this makes the space between the lace up sides almost touching, and the toe area crinkled.
This was our attempt to make them work after our daughter begged and pleaded not to send them back. She had wanted these for a long time, and were a gift from her grandparents. Unfortunately, this shoe does not come in different widths, or I would have at least exchanged them. The good thing is that this distributor offers free return shipping, though I haven't tried it to know if it is a hassle or not.
I am a women's size 7, so they obviously don't fit me, but I can tell just by comparison that these would be too big for me,too.
I also think they are odd looking from the top, the body is much wider than the sole and very "puffy", kind of like snow boots. Not at all flattering, and make the wearers foot appear huge.
All in all I wouldn't recommend these for anyone, especially a child, unless you were able to try them on first.
